Appointment of New CEO (Designate) 2024

RLAF is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Adnan Abdul Hamid as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO) – Designate with effect from 1 May 2024. He will take over current CEO, Mr Muhammad Faizal Othman, on 1 August 2024.

2. Mr Faizal helmed the position of RLAF CEO for more than three years since December 2020. Throughout his term, he has led various fundraising efforts, including humanitarian fundraising campaigns for Gaza in 2023 and 2024 which garnered $10 million. Other local projects Mr Faizal oversaw include the ‘Blessings-to-All’ project held annually in the month of Ramadan, and the ‘Digital Transformation for All’ programme for seniors and students.

3. Mr Adnan is currently serving as the Senior Assistant Director at Muis. He has played pivotal roles in various community initiatives including FITRAH and SalamSG Movement. His extensive experience includes leading sector-wide initiatives that developed leadership and management capabilities of more than 1,000 mosque leaders and staff.
