The RLA Month was held from 6 to 26 September 2015 with the theme of ‘Spirit of Caring – Communities in Harmony’.

We celebrated and gave tokens of appreciation to RLAF’s partners and volunteers who have worked hard to put the RLA ethos into action.

For the first time, the RLAF adopted two organisations; Ren Ci Nursing Home and Ain Society (Cancer Care Programme) as its adopted charities.

DTA is a project that helps bridge the digital divide by promoting digital skills, security, and wellness now with a special focus on seniors 💪🏼

As Singapore advances as a smart nation, many seniors still face challenges to embrace technology such as keeping up with digital services and emerging apps. This project supports them in embracing them with confidence, ensuring they stay connected and continue their lifelong digital learning journey.

RLAF was honored to have Dr. Mohamad Maliki Osman

RLAF was honored to have Dr. Mohamad Maliki Osman @maliki_osman , Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office, Second Minister for Education, and Second Minister for Foreign Affairs, attend the handover ceremony of Singapore’s sixth tranche of humanitarian aid for Gaza.

The ceremony, held in Amman, Jordan, highlighted RLAF’s ‘Humanitarian Aid for Gaza 2024’ campaign, which raised approximately SGD$1.3 million for Gaza’s humanitarian efforts. Of this, SGD$851,000 (USD$622,000) was officially presented to H.E. Dr. Hussein Mohammad Al-Shebli, Secretary General of the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (@_jhco), and SGD$435,000 (USD$318,000) to Abdul Fofana, UNICEF MENA Deputy Regional Director of Operations (@unicef).

“Since the start of the conflict, Singaporeans have opened their hearts and wallets, contributing about S$13 million to RLAF’s fundraising efforts. The funds raised have been disbursed to organizations such as UNRWA and UNICEF to support their relief operations,” said Minister Maliki.

Minister Maliki reaffirmed the strong ties between Singapore and Jordan, supporting effective aid delivery.

Our local partner, @humanitymatters_sg team is working closely with the Jordanian Hashemite Charity Organization (@_jhco ), to facilitate the clearance and transfer of its sixth tranche of aid. This includes two 40-foot relief containers that recently arrived at the seaport of Aqaba, Jordan.

This 20 tonnes relief supplies were packed with care by over 300 volunteers in Singapore on 1 December 2024 generously funded by RLAF’s donors.

19 𝐽𝑎𝑛 ‘25 - Within the hour from commencement of the 𝐆𝐚𝐳𝐚 𝐂𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐞, the relief shipment from Singapore arrived at the JHCO staging area in Zarqa, Jordan.

Day 1 of Monitoring visit to Jordan 🇯🇴

As part of the monitoring visit for RLAF’s ‘Humanitarian Aid for Gaza 2024’ fundraising collection, the RLAF team had a fruitful meeting yesterday with our partner, the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO).

The RLAF team, led by CEO, Mr Adnan Abdul Hamid, had the opportunity to discuss the progress of the project with the Secretary-General of the JHCO, HE Dr. Hussein Al Shebli.

Both sides signed a further memorandum of understanding (MOU) to advance their cooperation in delivering the necessary aid to those affected by the humanitarian crisis.
