Last Saturday, RLAF conducted its inaugural RLA Forum on the theme of Overcoming Challenges, Strengthening Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities. 60 participants from 25 organizations and disability-related social service agencies gathered together at our main sharing sessions and world cafe segment in support of the disability cause. We also had the honour of Minister of State, Ministry of Home Affairs & Ministry of National Development, Assoc Prof Dr Muhammad Faishal Ibrahim @muhammadfaishalibrahim , gracing our event. Our heartiest appreciation to our musically-talented friends from @savhofficial who sparked joy at the forum with their amazing song performances and also our speakers from @sgapsn and @smcci for their brilliant sharing at the forum. RLAF would like to thank our partners and volunteers for making it a successful event. We hope to continue working together to support the disability cause. RLAF, in collaboration with President’s Challenge, is conducting a collection for organizations providing services for Persons with Disabilities (PwDs). RLA Day is an annual commemoration which signifies the Singapore Muslim community's efforts in spreading the ethos of Rahmatan Lil Alamin (bringing blessings to all). This year, the RLA Day focuses on Singapore rallying support towards the disability cause and Persons with Disabilities through the following: 1. Raising awareness about disability and Persons with Disabilities in Singapore. 2. Nurturing a sustained relationship between organizations which support Persons with Disabilities and stakeholders in the community. 3. Encouraging donations to RLAF’s fundraising for organizations which provides services and support for Persons with Disabilities via President’s Challenge. (2/2) A booth set up at the International Conference on Communities of Success (ICCOS) gave our RLAF volunteers the opportunity to share and spread the word about the foundation among the many esteemed guests. Even though it might have been something new and daunting, our volunteers rose to the challenge and did a fantastic job! 🙌🏼 “It was very heartwarming to see delegates from Singapore and other countries, coming down to our booth to learn more about the work we do and expressed potential international collaborations in the future. I cannot wait to meet them again in the future so that we can further broaden our community service work from local to overseas,and reach out to more vulnerable communities collectively!“ said Izzat, a core volunteer of RLAF.

Our collection for the Pakistan floods is closed. Thank you for your kind contributions towards our fundraising initiative. We are currently in the process of consolidating and accounting for all contributions, and will provide updates soon. Meanwhile, you may still make contributions via Singapore Red Cross @sgredcross and Mercy Relief @mercy_relief as they are still conducting fundraising campaigns for the Pakistan floods. Our hearts go out to the casualties of this humanitarian emergency and their families. #pakistanfloods

(1/2) RLAF was happy to be part of the inaugural International Conference on Communities of Success (ICCOS) which aims to provide a platform for international Muslim minority communities to galvanise around a strong narrative of success, founded on the notion of “Contributing Citizens, Dynamic Institutions”. Together with @masjidyusofishak , we were glad to host local and international guests to an immersive learning experience (which included a sharing by one of our core volunteers, Amirul) through the Executive Study Programme where they visited key institutions and initiatives across Singapore to learn about collaborative efforts, as part of ICCOS. #ICCOS
