In response to the crisis, UNHCR has deployed emergency teams to neighbouring countries and is focusing on life-saving humanitarian assistance and protection, in line with needs on the ground, in collaboration with national authorities and the humanitarian community.

Humanitarian assistance and protection include specialised support for children, prevention and response to gender-based violence, emergency shelter, access to clean water and sanitation facilities, as well as core relief items such as blankets, sleeping mats, hygiene kits, buckets, essential clothing, energy banks and solar lamps.

All collection will be channeled through the @refugees as they are operating on the ground and working with their partners to provide protection and assistance to the communities affected by the crisis in Sudan.

RLAF, in collaboration with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), is organising a collection to provide urgent humanitarian and protection assistance to communities affected by the humanitarian emergency in Sudan.

RLAF is conducting an online collection via multiple platforms starting Tuesday, 16 May 2023 to Sunday, 28 May 2023 to assist in fulfilling the most urgent needs of those affected by the crisis in Sudan – both the communities who are forced to flee their homes as well as the host communities.

All collection will be channeled through @refugees to deliver aid to affected communities.

On March 26th to 30th 2023, Mr. Faizal bin Othman,

On March 26th to 30th 2023, Mr. Faizal bin Othman, the CEO of RLAF, and Mr. Helmy bin Mohd Isa, a board member of RLAF, in collaboration with the Turkish non-governmental organization (NGO) Hayrat Yardim for a monitoring trip to Turkey (Türkiye). RLAF, along with Hayrat Yardim, visited several affected cities, namely Kahramanmaraş, Elbistan, Adıyaman, as well as the district of Hatay.

The purpose of the trip was to oversee the distribution of aid to the victims affected by the earthquake in Turkiye and Syria in February.

In February 2023, an earthquake with a magnitude of 7.8 struck Turkiye and Syria, claiming the lives of over 34,000 people and leaving more than 100,000 injured. Additionally, more than 12,000 buildings, including apartment blocks and hospitals, were wrecked or collapsed.

More than half of the $1 million donated to Hayrat Yardim has been utilized to address the immediate needs of the victims and provide life-saving assistance. Among the proposed projects submitted for the $1 million are the Mobile Kitchen Project, which aims to deliver hot meals to 90,000 people daily in Turkiye and Syria, and the Syrian Bread distribution project, benefiting over 100,000 individuals.

We would like to express our gratitude and thanks to @hayratyardim for their warm hospitality, and we pray that the residents of Turkiye and Syria continue to be given remarkable strength and resilience as they rebuild their lives.

We would also like to extend our appreciation to our donors, whose generous contributions have truly made a difference in restoring hope and rebuilding the lives of those affected by this devastating calamity.

On the 13th of April, we were honoured by the este

On the 13th of April, we were honoured by the esteemed presence of President Halimah Yacob as she graced us with a treasured visit to the Rahmatan Lil Alamin Foundation.

We were most happy to have had President Halimah tour our RLAF gallery and join in our Blessings to All Project, presenting vouchers to our guest beneficiaries. Guests were also jubilant to have had the opportunity to come together and break fast as a community, graced by Mdm President as the Guest-of-Honour, all in the spirit of unity and togetherness.

We are deeply grateful to our President for her unwavering support and encouragement towards fostering harmony and goodwill amongst all members of our society and providing support to the vulnerable in our community.

Her visit serves as a powerful inspiration for us all to continue working towards our mission of spreading blessings and promoting care and compassion to all regardless of race, religion or background.
