Myanmar & Thailand Earthquake Appeal
The Rahmatan Lil Alamin (Blessings to All) Foundation (RLAF) is partnering with the Singapore Red Cross (SRC) in a fundraising appeal to support communities affected by the devastating earthquake in Myanmar and Thailand. The appeal aims to provide urgent humanitarian assistance to those most impacted by the disaster.
Impact of the Myanmar and Thailand Earthquake: A Call for Action
The earthquake has caused widespread destruction, leaving thousands injured, displaced, and in dire need of assistance. Critical infrastructure has been severely damaged, hampering rescue and relief operations on the ground. Given the scale of devastation, swift and coordinated humanitarian efforts are crucial to ensuring that aid reaches those most in need.
Fundraising Appeal for Myanmar and Thailand
We share the grief of those affected by this humanitarian crisis and their families. To support relief efforts, RLAF will conduct a fundraising appeal from 2 April 2025 to 30 April 2025 providing the community and all Singaporeans an opportunity to contribute to this humanitarian cause.
This fundraising effort will employ a multi-model approach via online donations and collections at mosques. The funds raised will support (and not be limited to) the procurement of vital supplies such as food, water, blankets, tarpaulins, and hygiene kits for the affected communities in Myanmar and Thailand. These essential resources will provide much-needed relief to individuals and families affected by the disaster as they begin their journey to recovery.
All donations will be channeled through our partner SRC. This is to ensure effective procurement and delivery of essential relief items and services to reach affected individuals and families in Myanmar and Thailand.

Q2. Will the funds reach Myanmar and Thailand?
Yes. All collection will be channeled through the Singapore Red Cross which is working with their ground partner, the Myanmar Red Cross Society (MRCS), to deliver aid to affected communities.
Q3. When is the period of donation?
The donation period will be held from 2 April (Friday) to 30 April 2025 (Wednesday).

Q5. Will receipts be issued for my donations and can it be claimed for tax-deductible?
Receipts will be issued upon request via Google Form (https://forms.gle/xBztCx8EkETd9nHn9) or email rlaf@rlafoundation.org.sg. All of the donations will be sent to Singapore Red Cross for tax-deduction.

The donation will go towards addressing immediate needs, including the distribution of essential supplies such as food, water, blankets, tarpaulins, and hygiene kits. These vital resources will provide much needed-relief to individuals and families struggling.
