Today's gathering demonstrates how the values of Rahmatan Lil Alamin - bringing blessings to all - can unite people across different backgrounds and circumstances, creating meaningful bonds within our community.

The annual Rahmatan Lil Alamin (RLA) Day with 2025’s theme of “Stroll for Care and Unity” took place at Mandai River Wonders on Saturday, 11th October 2025. Organised by the Rahmatan Lil Alamin Foundation (RLAF) in conjunction with SG60, this year’s event brought together over 800 participants from diverse backgrounds. The gatherings included Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), their caregivers, families of incarcerated individuals, and volunteers from over 20 partner organisations. The event celebrated the national spirit of care, compassion and unity whilst advancing RLA Day’s mission of spreading “blessings to all”.

Senior Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Education and Ministry of National Development, Dr Syed Harun Alhabsyi, graced the event as Guest-of-Honour. In his welcome remarks, Dr Syed Harun said: “As Singapore celebrates SG60, initiatives like the RLA Stroll reminds us of the importance of compassion in building a cohesive, inclusive society. Today’s gathering demonstrates how the values of Rahmatan Lil Alamin – bringing blessings to all – can unite people across different backgrounds and circumstances, creating meaningful bonds within our community.”

At the event, participants enjoyed a scenic and interactive stroll through River Wonders, where they engaged in themed activities organised along the park designed to promote teamwork, empathy, and community spirit. Volunteers and partner organisations, including Social Service Agencies (SSAs) such as the Movement for the Intellectually Disabled of Singapore (MINDS), Association for Persons with Special Needs (APSN) and Down Syndrome Association (DSA) joined hands with volunteers from mosques, madrasahs, and youth groups to create a day of meaningful engagement and joy.

The RLA Stroll for Care and Unity continues the legacy of the RLA Day initiative, which celebrates the values of Rahmatan Lil Alamin – Blessings to All. The event reflects RLAF’s mission to bridge communities through compassion, volunteerism, and inclusive participation. It also reinforces ongoing partnerships between disability SSAs and the wider Muslim community to build a more caring, compassionate and united Singapore.

RLAF remains dedicated to supporting disability SSAs and will continue to encourage donations through the President’s Challenge to bolster efforts for disability inclusion in Singapore. We extend our deepest gratitude to all the volunteers, partner organisations, and participants who contributed to making RLA Stroll for Care and Unity a significant event and bringing us closer to our mission in fostering an inclusive and compassionate society for all.
