Temporary Marketing & Comms Officer

Curate Creative Content on Social Media Platforms

  • Participate in creative content brainstorming sessions
  • Support in planning and execution of public education campaigns
  • Educate audience with content
  • Provide a more personable way to engage with audience such as exploring relevant trends
  • Feature RLAF projects and trainings such as a mix of motivation and human stories of volunteers and beneficiaries, including their pre-project preparations and local CIPs)
  • Assist in content creation and management of social media platforms
  • Provide real-time messages including well-wishes for festivities and messages of hope in times of disaster
  • Produce copy for social media captions and descriptions
  • Increase post-engagement

Adapt Different Skills

Aesthetic Sensibility (Eye for design)

  • Develop eye for good design that could contribute to the RLAF’s brand and identity (Concepts of aesthetics and artistic style)
  • Conceptualise visuals based on requirements
  • Keep up to date with latest design trends, tools, and technologies

Design skills

  • Create images and layouts using easy design software, websites and apps
  • Develop visual styles across various media platforms
  • Use appropriate colours, images, typography and layout styles
  • Review designs for errors

Photography and Videography skills

  • Shooting, editing and uploading videos or photos to RLAF’s social media sites
  • Editing video footage to create polished videos with music, titles, credits, and subtitles
  • Editing photos using different software or application

Other Responsibilities

  • Support RLAF events/projects e.g. Documenting events with photos and videos, set-up events
  • Marketing admin matters such as sorting out artworks, files, photos and videos
  • Liaise with vendors for printing materials
  • Other administrative support to the team such as filing of finance documents

Preferred qualification/experience:

  • Basic design skills such as Canva
  • Basic photography skills
  • Diploma/ Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft applications, Google applications
