Q1. What is the Blessings To All Project?

The Blessings To All 2022 project aims to provide 7,000 Blessings-to-All gift bags to disadvantaged families and individuals for their daily household needs. This includes grocery vouchers and items for personal hygiene, protection and health care packed in a Blessings-to-All gift bag.

Additionally, RLAF aims to support the empowerment of persons with disabilities, including beneficiaries of SAVH, to achieve greater self-reliance by providing employment opportunities with the packing of the gift bags. By encouraging the spirit of giving and compassion in Singaporeans, RLAF also strives to forge a more inclusive society where no one is left behind.

Q2. What are the objectives of this project?

This project aims to share the blessings of Ramadan for vulnerable families and individuals regardless of race, faith or background, in the hope of spreading a little Ramadan cheer, amidst the backdrop of COVID-19 and economic challenges.

Q3. When will this initiative take place?

This initiative will take place from 3 March to 25 April 2022.

Q4. How many gift bags will be delivered each week?

We estimate to deliver 2000 gift bags each week, on weekends throughout the month of Ramadan.

Q5. Where can we get the free gift bag?

This year, we have identified beforehand the beneficiaries with our partners, therefore there is no open registration. The beneficiaries are Comcare recipients who have been identified by our partners.

Q6. If I have been identified as a beneficiary, where and how will I collect the gift bag?

The time, day and collection details will be given to you by our partners.

Q7. How can I volunteer for this initiative?

Interested volunteers may sign up at the Blessings To All website (tinyurl.com/volBTA) and indicate which CC they are keen to volunteer at. An RLAF officer will either update via Whatsapp or email on the volunteering details.

Q8. Will this be an annual initiative?

At the current moment, the initiative is a response to the current COVID-19 situation, and to assist families-in-need during this pandemic. We aim for this to be an annual initiative but the form might differ as we recover from this pandemic.

Q9. Can our donations be considered as Zakat?

All contributions are not considered as Zakat but as donations.

Q10. How can I donate towards the Blessings To All project?

Members of the public can make their donation to the ‘Blessings to All’ gift bags via online:

1. a. PayNow – you would need to key in RLAF’s UEN: 200910530Z and indicate under remarks – BTA2022 (Refer to Annex A for QR Code)

4. Interbank transfer via RLAF (Rahmatan lil Alamin Foundation) – Transfer to OCBC Current Account at a/c no: 629069154001

5. Issue a cheque payable to ‘RLAF’. State on back of cheque: donor’s name, contact number, NRIC or company’s UEN number if you require a tax deduction for donations and indicate “Blessings to All 2022”.
