The UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency has reported over 140,000 people from the state had braved the seas and the forest in the region to reach the camps hosting the refugees in neighboring Bangladesh. A significant number comprise women and children.

We will be working with UNHCR to assist the refugees with life-saving assistance such as food, shelter, water, medication, clothing and other basic necessities. They are currently on the ground delivering similar assistance to the current refugee population at the camps. Many thousands more are expected to arrive in the coming days. We pray that the affected refugees fleeing to Bangladesh will be given shelter and safety in this very difficult time.
