18 September 2017

We are happy to report that the Singapore community has contributed a sum of SGD $193,000 for the survivors of the Yemeni conflict.

The funds collected at all 70 mosques in Singapore and online (from 29 Jul - 3 Aug 2017) will go to the UNHCR “Live Saving Assistance Programme” which will benefit nearly 6000 refugees and internally displaced Yemenis, more than half of whom are women and children.

The programme includes providing emergency shelters, basic living necessities, clean water and solar lamps. It also include community outreach for cholera prevention and pyscho-social support for children and adults to overcome the trauma experience in the ongoing conflict.

This fundraising effort represents our connectedness in wanting to ease the sufferings of the affected communities and families. Thank you, Singapore.
